History of GBF Camps
Empowering women through Jiu-Jitsu.
In January 2020, history was made with the first-ever self-defense class exclusively for women, taught by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. The event brought together approximately 140 women at Gracie Barra Headquarters in Florianopolis.
Master Carlos closed the momentous occasion with a motivational speech for the participants, saying with great pride, "Before I had an army of men only; now I have an army of women!"
This class inspired Prof. Nika Schwinden to create a weekend camp, bringing together women from all over Brazil. With the support of Prof. Vivi Almeida, Prof. Flávio Almeida, and the team at GB HQ Floripa and Prof. Guga, the GBF Camp has already had two successful editions in Brazil 2022 and 2023.
The team is already planning for the 2024 editions....
